mag eemo lang ako
i'll try to recall my wondrous memories with ERG (hahakot pa sa baul ng konting pics).
konting kwento kwento lang...
Part One: The Jacket
it was at the freshmen convocation when i first met these people donned in blue jackets. I then thought that the commotion outside the theatre was some sort of a rally, with some people shouting number-letter combinations with matching placards. following the others, a 'kuya' led me to the place for G7 freshies. they then introduced themselves as our blockhandleERGs, our 'kuyas' and 'ates' that will help us in our 'journey to hell'. The first ERG member who talked to me was ate marjo, she was very bubbly and cool in her ERG jacket. She then led us to EEE, walking (as compared to the other orgs who rented jeeps for their freshies. :) ), a blockmate sligthly slipped in a manhole along velasquez, which then became a light moment since it was quite similar to the tricky staircases of our 'Hogwarts' . At the tambayan, there were other people in ERG jackets that welcomed us, they gave us souvenirs - ERG logos with a real 1/4 W 70 ohm resistor (for the upcoming ERG 70). At the back of the souvenir was messages of good luck ( mine was from ate Joc, saying 'Enjoy your stay in EEE! (smiley included)). deeper that afternoon, we then introduced ourselves to them, and got introduced to kuya jeiel and kuya emans, fellow palawenos. That fun activity cemented my decision to be one of them. not only because of the happiness i experienced from their company, not only because i feel one of them (like that of a family), but because of their cool jackets.
and that was the start of my ERG adventure. :)
it is ironic that i still dont have the reason why i joined ERG in the first place - the cool jaket.
